Abstract

The purpose of this research was to identify the students' level of utilization of Learning Management System (LMS) namely, i-Class at University Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia. The researcher examined four factors which are the students' technology competency, students' access to i-Class, lecturers' initiative, and students' perceive usefulness towards the students' utilization of i-Class. The research employed the quantitative and supported by qualitative methodology. The respondents are students enroll in electronic distance learning (e-PJJ) in UiTM Malaysia. A total of 380 students responded to the questionnaire. The research reveals that the i-Class system is at acceptable level. The mean score for students' utilization of i-Class features was 3.56. From the findings, it was found that the highest mean refers to lecturers' initiative (Mean = 4.17) followed by students' technology competency (Mean = 4.06), students' access to i-Class (Mean = 3.78), and students' perceive usefulness towards i-Class (Mean = 3.72). Based from the findings, this research is beneficial for other universities that practiced web-based distance learning in order to improve the existing learning management system.
